The Body Click Coach

Pause. Take a Breath. The Coach is here to help.

Body Click Coach is in-the-moment support for your specific situation—right when the urge hits. It helps you trust your fullness, handle restaurants and social meals, and make a calm next move so after-dinner snacking ends—without willpower or suffering.

When not to eatSometimes the system is loud, urgent, and specific: “Pizza would be nice.” “A donut with coffee would be perfect.” “I’ve had a hard day—I deserve chips.” This is usually not true hunger. It’s false hunger—your brain noticing that food is available and pushing you to get it now. In the Body Click Method, we call this a ping. The first skill is to acknowledge a ping without obeying it. Often, you can turn it down or silence it with a few words said out loud: “Ping, I hear you.” Many people are surprised by what happens next — the ping softens or disintegrates. It’s freeing. It’s simple. It requires calm, and four words: “Ping, I hear you.”

When to eatTrue hunger is different. It is slower, quieter, and non-dramatic. You might feel emptiness in your stomach, a steady low energy, or a calm sense that food would help. We call true hunger a body click, or just a click. A click doesn’t vanish when you acknowledge it. When you feel a click, honor it. Fuel your body—calmly, but soon. That builds trust. It tells your system: when you need fuel, you will get it. No bargaining. No justification. Just fueling.

When to stopThe final signal is the quietest: your body telling you you’ve had enough. To hear it, you have to slow down. Eat one bite at a time, put down your fork after every bite, and pause to ask, “Would another bite be welcome and easy?” Then wait for the click of “enough.” At first this can feel awkward. That’s normal. The point is to listen.

Ping the Sprite and Nod the OwlIf it helps, picture a lively little sprite named Ping, who lives on your left shoulder. Ping carries a powerful flashlight, points it at food and shouts, "French fries would be amazing right now!” And “Let's look in the refrigerator!” And, “Hurry—get it now!”When you say, “Ping, I hear you,” the flashlight clicks off, and Ping returns to your shoulder and takes a nap. Then picture Nod, a wise old owl—gentle, warm and steady—on your right shoulder. Nod quietly offers only what’s true: “Food would be welcome.” “Pause.” “Listen.” “Enough.”Ping gets excited about food. Nod helps you hear what your body actually needs.

These three skills—acknowledging pings, honoring clicks, and stopping at enough—are essentially everything you need to practice the Body Click Method.
